As this year comes to a close, soft snowflakes are falling here. I thought of the Trevor from CC Stamps and decided to try a guy card. Our son and his wife have come and gone back home again. We visited one of her favorite stores, REI during their time here and I saw the cutest hats for little boys and girls, along with the tiniest cross country skis. This was my card making result.I made use of my favorite Recollections paper, Salt. It looks like snow. I sponged it using Color Box White to lighten the background. Paper was torn to create a small 'hill' and the stamped and colored image was torn to continue the scene.Taupe grosgrain ribbon was added to anchor the card. The corners of the paper were cut with a circle punch to finish up the card along with the words Let it Snow .

What beautiful material just right for a stocking for my daughter in law. My late aunt made stockings for each of us , first for Bob and I as wedding presents and then for each of the boys as they joined the family years ago. As this will be the first Christmas with our son and his wife at our home, we needed to have a stocking just right for her.I saw this beautiful material and with the help from my friend Pam... it is done.Merry Christmas

This is another quick card using leftover paper scraps, ink, and some Stickles with a MS Branch punch. The checked DP was from the scrapbox(unknown), while the strip of bright green(Bazzill)was edged with dark green ink. Copper Stickles were added to the darkest part of the DP pattern. The verse was added stamped on light Kraft paper, and the branches were inked lightly and glued gently to create a wreath. Raffia was used to create a bow.

When I give gifts, I like to include a gift card to complete the package. I used this Gorguss Girl on some fun Holiday plaid paper(found at Big Lots in a package of 20 sheets for $2.00.)I love those good finds and especially in my limited splurging budget . I have made these for each of the gifts I am giving this year. Just some gold sheer ribbon for a bow, and more of those lovely snowflakes from the garland found at the Dollar Tree. The image was stamped in black and then a torn makeup sponge was used to edge the image in Old Olive. It almost looks like pine branches to me.A sage mini brad in the snowflake and it was done.
Inks:Vivid: Old Olive, Memento:Tuxedo black
P.S. Thanks for the kind comments. I am feeling better now. Have fun for yourself during this busy holiday time!

This is another quick card with the busy time of year upon us all.Just a Bazzill Kraft paper card, leftover DP scraps, a verse and a pretty poinsettia . The silk flower was from the Dollar Tree as part of a Poinsettia bush. I took the flower apart and used a brad to fasten it together again. I stamped the Rubberneck Stamps verse, in Sepia and added a touch of red on the heart. The DP has edges which were torn before it was glued together on to the kraft cardstock.

It has been a busy few days with school events and getting ready for the church play. I just help out with the practices and then with the preschoolers who sing a song during the play. Tomorrow is the big day so then I'll get back to posting on track again.

What to do... the cute stamp set I got from Firecracker Designs created a challenge for me. I thought this would be my first try at it. Just layering cardstock , then stamping and coloring the images, along with MS pine punches . I added a Teresa Collins stamp in the corner and a bit of pretty ribbon. He is sweet but those whiskers are hard to cut out.

I visited my friend Gini and her daughter Karen, recently and among their stamps was a cute old fashioned Santa. Of course, I asked to stamp off a few images to make some cards. Using my new scraps from Sue and the stamped image(PSX vintage), plus a snip of the Graphic 45 (?) paper , markers to color it and a flower, and just a message inside . Mailbox, here it goes.
Cardstock: Bazzill-White, scrapbox

This saying is another one of my favorites. I found it again on an unmounted stamp in my storage box. I stamped it and after tearing the edges mounted it on Mulberry paper. Next, it was again mounted on a cream Bazzill card stock. The flowers were die cut from a Sizzlit set using a variety of pinks from the scrap box. A touch of ribbon and another note card set of six cards and envelopes was completed for a Christmas gift.
Card Details: Stamp: unknown
Mulberry Paper: Olive(unknown)

The second stamp set of Firecracker Designs by Pamela that I bought recently is called "Oh Holey Night". It has a cute mouse which kind of reminds me of the Nutcracker ballet. There is Swiss Cheese and both Christmas and a Bright Blessings for the New Year verses among others included. I used my Autumn Emma by CC Designs and made her into sledding Emma. I also used the sled from Firecracker Designs. I created a log for her to sit on next to the sled. The DP is from EKSuccess -Beach Bonanza but I thought the swirls looked like snow falling and with the Tulip Snow 3D Paint , made the scene more realistic.I added white brads to anchor the added panel in each of the corners.
Cardstock:Bazzill-White,DP EK Success
Ink Memento:Tuxedo Black
Stamp:Printworks: Merry Merry Christmas

This is another of the Gorguss Girls. A friend from church ordered one with the hair color of her granddaughter. It's is mounted on another strip of the Glimmer Mist paper I created with the Sunflower and Jazz Blue mixtures. The snowflake was cut by using a Nestibilitie die and the brad was from Bazzill as was the cardstock and accent pieces of paper.
