Be Happy Friends

I noticed this cute Popcorn the Bear Golf stamp set from Crafter's Companion, on the Little C's Stamp n' things blog. I really don't have many sports sets and with Father's day plus summer birthdays coming soon, thought it would be a great choice. She is discontinuing her acrylic/rubber stamps so shop quickly. It arrived on Saturday and I tried it out on this card. I think that our many golf fans friends will like it too.

Check it out sales...

On several blogs yesterday, I saw mention of a sale of Cuttlebug dies, folders and machines at of all places...Big Lots. So I stopped on the way home today and found Birthday Wishes set(37-1162)-1 embossing folder plus 1 cutting die(large) for $2.00. I also got Disney Wild Ride (37-1742)i cutting die with several pieces-great for a kid's card, and then Photo Corners(cheaper than a punch). They weren't the latest but the prices were great. I had wanted that double Birthday Wishes set a while ago but it was too expensive. I already made a birthday card with the new set. If you are budget oriented like me, and these days who isn't ... see if there is anything of interest in unexpected shopping spots.

Flower Time

Another swap group I belong to is asking for a card with flowers. This Whiff of Joy image is yet another I received in a recent swap. The punched flower is a new one and I'm loving the new edger punch. Just cardstock ,inks and Zig Markers and another card was finished.

Back again

I just decided to take some time off from card making but today I had fun playing and came up with a couple of new ideas. This card has a Hanglar image from a swap friend. The ribbons also came from another swap. The DP is from my scrap box, and the brads are from a recent closing sale of a LSS store in our town. The edging is a MS punch bought at the closing sale too. She is colored with Zig Markers.
Hope you have some sunny days..

Surprises are good

Today,I went to the Stamp Scrap Art Tour which stopped in a nearby town to us. It was nice and I did some window shopping and made some small purchases. They had several drawings and a special key for a treasure box they gave out to the first 100 people. On the way out, I tried my key in the lock... and it opened the box! I received a couple of Gift Certificates for the companies who were there. So I revisited those booths I had merely looked at and did some big shopping instead! I chose items from Inky Antics, Art Gone Wild, Stamper's Anonymous, and Design Unlimited. New stamp pads, several stamp sets, some punches to create cool flowers, and a 6x6 pack of BG Green at Heart were my choices. Thanks so much to the Tour for the lovely gifts!

Mom's Day

Happy Mom's day to all out there.... My Mom has been gone for 15years plus now but I have several chosen "Moms" at church that mean a lot to me too. I made this easel card for my friend Gini. It was fun...

at the Mega Meet. I did get some new items. One of the more interesting finds for me-screwdriver head brads (www.eyeletoutlet.com)-they will be used on some guy cards soon. I did buy another of those great ODBD sets... card to follow this week (plus a bow maker template from them). A few sheets of Bo Bunny papers, and my big splurge... a few Copics. I bought 3 Ciao and 1 Sketch markers. I have been thinking about trying them out and the prices were great so... I did. Here is a photo of our group plus a special papercrafter (Tim Holtz) in midst of a demo... It was fascinating to watch him work in person.

Shop,shop, shop!

I got this cute image from a recent swap. It's from Stampopotomus "Let's go shopping". I made this card to thank my friend who will be driving a group of us to an event on Saturday. It's the big 3 day Papercrafting event called Mega Meet and Tim Holtz will be there for the first time. Although I can't take any classes due to work, there will be many make and takes and lots to see... can you tell I'm a bit excited! I have my trusty index cards organized so I know where I want to visit. There are to be 70 plus booths so there will be lots to see and crowds of others doing the same .

Spring...

Our papercrafting group at church made pages tonight for scrapbooks. Sue cut out the titles for the group on her Cricut along with the birdhouses. We could make any other choices and put the pages together independently. These are my two pages.Photos will be added later.
