I noticed this cute Popcorn the Bear Golf stamp set from Crafter's Companion, on the Little C's Stamp n' things blog. I really don't have many sports sets and with Father's day plus summer birthdays coming soon, thought it would be a great choice. She is discontinuing her acrylic/rubber stamps so shop quickly. It arrived on Saturday and I tried it out on this card. I think that our many golf fans friends will like it too.

On several blogs yesterday, I saw mention of a sale of Cuttlebug dies, folders and machines at of all places...Big Lots. So I stopped on the way home today and found Birthday Wishes set(37-1162)-1 embossing folder plus 1 cutting die(large) for $2.00. I also got Disney Wild Ride (37-1742)i cutting die with several pieces-great for a kid's card, and then Photo Corners(cheaper than a punch). They weren't the latest but the prices were great. I had wanted that double Birthday Wishes set a while ago but it was too expensive. I already made a birthday card with the new set. If you are budget oriented like me, and these days who isn't ... see if there is anything of interest in unexpected shopping spots.

Dear friends of ours will soon celebrate the first birthday of their youngest grandson. It has been a trying year for the family as his Dad was dealing with a rare illness during this year and undergoing frequent hospitalizations . The treatments and tests are done for now and this birthday celebration will be extra sweet for them. Here is the card I made for the little guy. Happy birthday to you!

Another swap group I belong to is asking for a card with flowers. This Whiff of Joy image is yet another I received in a recent swap. The punched flower is a new one and I'm loving the new edger punch. Just cardstock ,inks and Zig Markers and another card was finished.

I just decided to take some time off from card making but today I had fun playing and came up with a couple of new ideas. This card has a Hanglar image from a swap friend. The ribbons also came from another swap. The DP is from my scrap box, and the brads are from a recent closing sale of a LSS store in our town. The edging is a MS punch bought at the closing sale too. She is colored with Zig Markers.
Hope you have some sunny days..

so many things. Our older son has a birthday tomorrow. He is a married grown man but when I close my eyes I remember those many years ago and him as the sweet baby lying in my arms.He loves all sorts of music and this image fits the bill. Hope he likes the card. We will be out visiting them for a belated celebration over the weekend.

I have a new card swap going out to a friend that requires flowers to be on it. I used this Gorgess Girl image and colored her dress with Pearlescent Chalks by Pebbles. It added just a hint of sparkle on her dress to doll her up . The flowers are from Kaisercraft and the brads are from my stash.

Had to make a card for a friend who is feeling a little bit under the weather. At the show yesterday, I got this Millie Mouse set(10951MC) from Inky Antics. The card was quick and I know this will lift her spirits!

Today,I went to the Stamp Scrap Art Tour which stopped in a nearby town to us. It was nice and I did some window shopping and made some small purchases. They had several drawings and a special key for a treasure box they gave out to the first 100 people. On the way out, I tried my key in the lock... and it opened the box! I received a couple of Gift Certificates for the companies who were there. So I revisited those booths I had merely looked at and did some big shopping instead! I chose items from Inky Antics, Art Gone Wild, Stamper's Anonymous, and Design Unlimited. New stamp pads, several stamp sets, some punches to create cool flowers, and a 6x6 pack of BG Green at Heart were my choices. Thanks so much to the Tour for the lovely gifts!

Happy Mom's day to all out there.... My Mom has been gone for 15years plus now but I have several chosen "Moms" at church that mean a lot to me too. I made this easel card for my friend Gini. We share Nursery duties for the "little ones" at church. She liked it... it reminds me of some of our 'little monkeys"we care for each week.

at the Mega Meet. I did get some new items. One of the more interesting finds for me-screwdriver head brads (www.eyeletoutlet.com)-they will be used on some guy cards soon. I did buy another of those great ODBD sets... card to follow this week (plus a bow maker template from them). A few sheets of Bo Bunny papers, and my big splurge... a few Copics. I bought 3 Ciao and 1 Sketch markers. I have been thinking about trying them out and the prices were great so... I did. Here is a photo of our group plus a special papercrafter (Tim Holtz) in midst of a demo... It was fascinating to watch him work in person.

Wow... today was a whirlwind... preschool, then Mother's Celebration dinner at church(the guys in our church serve the dinners to the women)! We had a great evening with the Edison choir to entertain us after dinner. Tomorrow is the big Mega Meet event with some of my friends. Off to bed...I'm bushed.

I got this cute image from a recent swap. It's from Stampopotomus "Let's go shopping". I made this card to thank my friend who will be driving a group of us to an event on Saturday. It's the big 3 day Papercrafting event called Mega Meet and Tim Holtz will be there for the first time. Although I can't take any classes due to work, there will be many make and takes and lots to see... can you tell I'm a bit excited! I have my trusty index cards organized so I know where I want to visit. There are to be 70 plus booths so there will be lots to see and crowds of others doing the same .

Our papercrafting group at church made pages tonight for scrapbooks. Sue cut out the titles for the group on her Cricut along with the birdhouses. We could make any other choices and put the pages together independently. These are my two pages.Photos will be added later.

Some friends of our are having a baby soon. They have decided not to find out whether or not it is a girl or boy, but to wait instead. The shower will include both pink and blue so I thought this would work for my gift enclosure card. That Whiff of Joy mouse is so sweet and who doesn't like a touch of bling?
