Working on another tag

I have been trying some of my vintage stamps on my tags and loving the results .This one uses an Inky Antics stamp plus a scrap of paper cut with one of Nellie's Multiframe die for the accent. The image was water colored and a bit of twine added to the tag. The background tag was sponged with Distress Ink.The second group have tags created with the Nellie Multiframe dies and one of the layers embossed with the Cuttlebug Textile Folder. On one I inked it with Distress ink while on the second, the embossing was left un-inked.The Floss is Karen Foster's Scrappers Floss pastel pink. The layers were attached with glue dots.

Still another Gift Tag idea

was this one. I have the older SU A Greeting for the Season set and thought this would make up into antique looking tags. I love the rustic style and will be making lots of these for my own gifts this year.Stamped with a variety of Distress Inks and watercolored, these were fun to make. I used my Zig markers to darken the twine also.

More orders today!

Back to the card making since more orders were requested at church. My work area looks like a tornado hit so I have to take some time to reorganize tomorrow again...I bought some brackets and my husband cut some shelves for me from his wood scraps and hung them up for me too. It should be a quicker cleanup after I finish organizing it...again.

Meet the newest

member of our family. Sawyer the cat was willing to have his photo taken when we visited our son and DIL yesterday. Thought you might like to meet him. He's cute and well mannered but a bit camera shy. He is a "mitten cat" with extra toes on each paw. We have never had a cat in the family before so we are a bit excited about him .

Finishing up my orders...

I included more of the tags from the bazaar. I wrote a thank you for each of my orders and included a few extra tags a a surprise. The image is another"vintage" Stampington/ Sandi Gore Evans stamp. I watercolored the image after stamping it in Mementos tuxedo black. It was punched with a Marvy scalloped punch(purple), and edged with Distress Ink.I used tags from my stash . Just need to add some ribbon and then pack up the orders.

Gift tags...

One of the gift tags I offered at the bazaar is this one. The sentiment is from Gina K Designs and then just 2 punches/MS pine and Marvy scalloped created this. A touch of both silver and gold Stickles really enhance it. I making more for my customer orders. The tag was edged with DI Peeled Bark.

Happy Birthday

I work as a nanny part time and the little guy I care for is celebrating his big 2nd birthday!I have this sweet turtle digi stamp from Doodle Pantry and thought it would be perfect for his card.It was watercolored, and a number 2 was punched from a Cuttlebug alphabet set. After being glued to the painted image, silver Stickles were added to add some texture to the card.

Winter Wishes

Another of the cards from the Bazaar was this one with one of my favorite Santas. It's a country Santa stamp from old PSX. I got more of those great snowflakes on a garland from the Dollar Tree and separated them to use on cards (so many for little $$).Just a brad and some silver Stickles, blinged it up a bit. The little sentiment was a freebie stamp from Papercrafts magazine . The verse and Santa were both stamped in Tuxedo Black from Momentos ink. The sage swirl was from the scrap box. The Santa was colored with Prismacolor pencils and edged with Colorbox Olive Pastel chalk ink after being trimmed with a corner rounder. The tan and white cardstock papers were from the scrapbox.

Second posting today! One of the cards...

from the make and take at the Bazaar was this one. It was a quick card. I had pre-cut the Sizzlit Noel and each person punched their own MS snowflakes. The image is from Inky Antics, and just a bit of silver Stickles and it was completed. People used Prismacolor pencils to color the angel wings. The corregated paper was vintage from the scrapbox but I had ample for the demos.

It's Over...

Our Holiday Bazaar at church is over, although the boutique room is open for a few more Sundays. We did pretty good but of course were hoping for more for our mission work. Now it's on for me to complete my card orders for customers. I will be posting a card later today. I was the co-chair of the event, in charge of the set up/break down, along with being the treasurer and my own booth so needless to say, BUSY.

It's tomorrow!

Finally the baking and cardmaking and baking and Make-& Takes are all ready for the church bazaar. I have to work 7-6 but plan to rush to church after work to work in my booth/table. My good friend Gini and her daughter Karen will be sitting in for me from 4-6pm. I hope to remember my camera to take some pictures of all of the nice craft work by everyone. It is our big mission fundraiser and we will be serving a great turkey dinner for $7.00 all you can eat. Keep your fingers crossed that we will be busy!

A few more little touches to prepare and then I'll share a photo of my projects. Keep your fingers crossed that no glitches come up before Friday.

My plans..

are now coming together for my card making demo at the church bazaar next week. As I mentioned before, I will be having a table to do make it take its. I cut all of the papers and pre-stamped the sentiments. I plan on bringing my Cuttlebug and folders to emboss the Blessing cards, and also the third card we will be making.I want to make it easy for the participants so simple plans will help me out. I cut enough supplies for 30 of each card and hopefully it will be enough. These are two of the cards I plan to use for the event.I have other cards I just will be selling. All of the money from the event will be going to our Mission projects.

Busy Times

It has been one thing after another recently. Last night we held our first Trunk & Treat event at church. I was on the planning team and everything went off great. We had a chili cook-off and costume judging, pumpkin carving, face painting and just plain fun activities. We even had a mini tractor ride around the property for the younger ones. Our grown son dressed up as a farmer to help out with that one. We served chili, HDs, chips, cider and hot chocolate and hot cider and there were lots of customers for the hot drinks as it was a bit nippy out. In two weeks we will be having our Church Bazaar. I was just asked to do a make and take card making event there. So I will be prepping for that in my free time.Off to another meeting tonight.
