Be Happy

This little "Mom" looks like she is ready for a busy day(Kraftin Kimmie's Charlotte). I thought this would work nicely along with the HA- Be Happy. I have a friend who is a super busy Mom herself and I thought this would give her a chuckle. The image was edged with Zig Markers and the DP is from Me and My Big Ideas Milan pack. Just a bit of sheer ribbon and she is ready to be popped into the mail tomorrow.

So much fun...

finding a surprise in my stash. I went to the stamping convention in our area last year and got a bonus in my bag when I bought an inkpad in one of the booths. I just shoved it into my box of unmounted. When I was looking through them over the weekend, I noticed this cute saying. I have no idea where it came from but it is perfect for one of my last minute Easter cards.Just some scraps, ribbon, cardstock , some Zig markers for coloring the Spring Bunny from Lili of the Valley stamps and it's done.

Use what you have...

I have been working on some more Tildas. Here she is. It's Tilda with the Lamb. I have been reading on various blogs to use what you have, drag out those favorite tools and basically... make do with less. Nana's Kids paper is the background DP. I got that at the last swap. The swirly design is from a CB folder D'vine Swirls. The pale yellow flower is from my stash, along with the purple flower brad.Just some zig markers, a corner rounder and that is all. Another CAS card ready to go.

This Spring Bunny from LoV, really appealed to me and combined with a great verse from CDS showed that he was willing to try. Still another

Tilda that is... This one is writing a letter. I thought this card would look good with one of Gini's crochet flowers, in tones of green. It's so springlike . She is sitting on a little cushion and writing in her journal. The polka dot paper is from Nana's Kids, with the card stock Bazzill White and a scrap of spring green(unknown). The brads are from MM. A band of sheer ribbon pulls it together. She was colored with Zig Markers.

Tilda and the Lamb

This is such a sweet image and I thought it would look good combined with some white on the white die cut designs..Two different white die cuts were applied on the cardstock. The swirl was from Sizzlits, and the hearts were punched and glued to create another pattern. A pink brad was used to accent the center of the hearts while a sheer ribbon anchored the image.Tilda was colored with Zig markers.

Tilda with butterfly

This Tilda is cute(aren't they all!) and I'm trying something new with this one. I die cut the swag and her seat on a Cricut. The seat is actually a fancy letter X sideways and those dewdrops are like berries/flowers . She is holding a butterfly in her hand. The DP is another one of those mystery papers in my stash. She was colored with the Zig markers. I think she is saying "Come on Spring", especially with her best wishes message. Flurries are projected for our area overnight again so our brief taste of spring is leaving here... It was so nice but hopefully warmer will be back for good soon.

Dream Big

This Anya Flutter from TGF is dreaming of something special. I had been looking for just the right phrase to go with her. I stopped at the opening of a new Big Lot in town today and there was a area of crafting. They had paper packs and stickers which I passed by but noticed there were a few stamp sets . I found the Doodlebug Design Inc clear stamp set called Memories 1. The font is cute and the words are cheery. The card went quickly together. Some Kaiser flowers and MM brads along with some unknown DP from my stash made this a springtime card. A touch of Spica ink clear in her hair dressed her up and was also used to accent the words at the bottom of the card.
Card Details:
Cardstock;Bazzill -White,gold

New Tilda with Bunny

Isn't she sweet... I immediately thought of Easter with her all dressed up, holding her bunny...I used items from the scrap box for this one.An unknown DP(from the swap) ,Bazzill cream card stock, a bit of light sage ribbon on the top and bottom of the DP layer. Used some Sunflower Dew Drops instead of a bow on this one.She was colored with my trusty Zig Markers. Corner rounded the edges of the image to finish it off. I just love the bargains at the swaps but sometimes the designer papers are unmarked so even if I could find another sheet, I wouldn't know where to start..

Another card

This is another birthday card that arrived today. Thanks Lyn for your card.
************
I did get a bit of news today however as one of the few local stamping and papercrafting stores in our area has decided to close due to the difficult economic times. I feel a bit sad as I once worked there a few years back. Good luck and thanks Barb and the crew.Try to support the local stores in your area.

Bright and Perky

Ahnika Anya from TGF really called for more springy paper. This thinking of you card would definitely lift one's spirits. Colored with Zig Markers, and edged with Bazzinks(found it in a box, who knows about the vintage...)but still works.Another verse from Sweet n' Sassy plus some ric rac ribbon and some unknown DP, does the trick. Happy Monday all!

Butterflies

I am a big fan of butterflies and try to take photos of them as soon as they visit our area. The weather here has been warmer...not warm by any stretch of the imagination but I am really looking forward to a beautiful spring soon. This card combined Sweet n Sassy's saying from "In His Time" set with a vintage The Write Impression butterfly stamp. MS punched butterflies were added after being watercolored to create handmade embellishments. Just a touch of unknown ribbon and another thinking of you card done.
Cardstock:Marcos-Royal Marbled, scraps of glossy(unknown)

The second set

of the WeR stamps I bought is Step 2 Leaves. It doesn't look too exciting but wait to see what I made with it.I do think I will go back and get some more of them. I have tried 2 step stamps in the past but I was not happy with the results. The previous set like this is fun to work with and I am sure this set will be also for card making. The website for the company is; www. werontheweb.com.

WeR Memory Keepers has a new line of Vintage Blue clear stamps. They include two step stamps sets I found at my LSS. I tried them out on a card and here it is!I like the matching parts and they stamp up nicely. I also stamped coordinating butterflies and cut them out with a MS butterfly punch.Just a bit of sheer ribbon and a heartfelt thanks card is all ready.

Drop in open house

Recently, I went to Archiver's and they had a card making demo day. I made this card using a Sizzix folder, Coordinations paper, some silver brad heads, May Company velvet ribbon, a sanding block(used for fingernails),Prima flower and Glimmer Mist to change the color of the flower(it was originally off white). First, the duo-sided paper was put through the Big Shot with the die to cut the basic shape. Next the paper was put through the Sizzix embossing tool by placing the precut paper inside the folder, and then sanded to reveal the reverse paper. A paper punch cut out the small circle out of a coordinating paper scrap and rub-on was applied to it before gluing the circle to the center of the embossed image. The ribbon was glued on before the panel was added to the card. The dyed flower had a half pearl glued in the center along with adhesive brad heads to give some bling to the crown area. Do check out your local shops for any make and take demos they may be having soon to try something new.

Everyone's Irish for a day

I found this cute Studio G stamp at Joann's for just $1.00, and I thought I could make a nice card for my cousin. I stamped Magnolia's Tilda with Tinsel and colored her with a marker.Next I added some shamrocks with a green glitter pen, and the verse stamp. It was mounted on unknown DP and three green MM brads were added. The Tilda with tinsel is so versatile, and can be used for so many occasions throughout the year.
