Count your..

Blessings that is...I totally forgot about this oldie from Stampendous that was in my seasonal box. I used it for Thanksgiving cards several times. I recently splurged on a Tim Holtz Fades Folder set-including this Retro Circles and thought this would work well together with the stamp. After embossing , the panel was sponged with a selection of Distress Inks. A bit of twine pulled the card together. The sentiment was edged with Brushed Corduroy DI. It is a nice saying and always reminds me that I have much to be grateful for in the world no matter what is happening at the moment.

Friends,Friends

Here is a friendship card, I combined a CC Design image plus an image I got in a swap(unlabeled). I found this great paper at a swap, no name of course(a scrap)...Just added a small piece of stitched ribbon for a small bow. It's a combination card for sure but I think it turned out cute.

Trick or Treat !

I combined a side step card with a Cuttle Bug Haunted House folder for the card. The Trick or Treat stamp is from Autumn Leaves while the tiny ghosts and pumpkin stamps are unknown .I used a white Gelly Roll pen to highlight the house windows. A piercing tool added the holes while a T. Holtz ruler kept the line straight at the bottom level. Boo to you!

Happy Times

This image reminds me of the sweet 2 year old girls in my Toddler Church school class. When they sit to listen to a story, they always have a "baby" in their arms. Such devoted"Mommies". Such a special time in their lives.

A gift for you!

This is going out in the mail soon, after I stop at Mac Donald's for those dandy G.C. as a Halloween treat for the nieces and nephews in the family. It's a double pocket card and the rear spot is where I put the G.C. I made these last year and they were a big hit so I just used a different image(Inky Antics) stamped, cut and colored and I am all set to go. I made the group cards tonight so I wouldn't forget... Halloween will be here in a flash!

The sympathy cards...

are done for Sue and her daughter. The ribbon on the card at the right was for Davina...mourning a brother(I had no idea there were so many beautifully colored ribbons to honor people). The one with butterflies is for my dear friend. Now I'm off to the Post Office to send them to Australia. Thanks for the kind and supportive comments I received yesterday.

It's hard

to make some cards. A dear friend in Australia is dealing with some awful heartache . Her 22 year old son committed suicide a few days ago. I have been soul searching to come up with an appropriate card to send to her, another one for her adult daughter, also one to the grandparents .I don't like my brainstorming ideas so far but I will sleep on it until tomorrow. No card today from me.

Shower update

Alas, the Mom to be was unable to come from Arizona due to some unexpected medical complications on Wednesday but we had the baby shower any way at church today. Megan was there via Skype and each person opened their gift and showed it to her through the camera and had a chance to speak to her alone. It sounds weird but was actually fun. The food was yummy and the event lots of fun. I was there early helping to prepare the food with the relatives and stayed to clean up so it was a long day. P.S.Megan loved my card and can't wait to see it in person. Happy delivery to her!
Happy crafting and I'll be back with a card tomorrow.

Baby Shower card

I'm invited to a baby shower over the weekend and both of the parents to be are in the military. I had this great digi image from Phindy's Place as part of Operation Write Home. This great group creates cards for service people to be able to send home to loved ones. I thought this image worked out great and that little guy is so sweet. (they are having a boy). The cardstock is Bazzill Kraft, Blue and White. The ribbon is from the scrapbox. The image was colored with Zig Markers and edged with a corner rounder.

More Basic Grey!

I just love Basic Grey papers. This one is Green at Heart and I have used it on several cards . Our LSS is having a clearance sale on older papers next week since their new items are rolling through the door that they ordered at CHA. So, I am planning to take advantage of that and picking up several of my favorite papers come Monday...Here is another fall card with an Autumn Splendor stamp (from Archiver's )that I found at the recent garage sale. I colored the dots with my Zig Markers and added some Stickles to brighten them up.Some unknown brads from my stash, a twine bow and some Distress Ink around the edges to finish it off.

The gold and white strip was sprayed with GM.The punch was from a swap(unknown).

Happy World Cardmaking Day!

I have busy working on my Christmas cards today but I was inspired by so many papercrafters on their blogs so I made a special Autumn card. I used scraps to make this one. BG Green at Heart is the DP and it went so nice with that SU Pomegranite paper . A few more punched circles from Kraft paper and Bazzill Pumpkin sponge edged with Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy Ink were added. Flowers from the stash were sprayed with GM Sunflower. They were actually fushia before being sprayed. The sentiment is vintage HA and was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and also sponge edged with DI Brushed Corduroy.
