Drop in open house

Recently, I went to Archiver's and they had a card making demo day. I made this card using a Sizzix folder, Coordinations paper, some silver brad heads, May Company velvet ribbon, a sanding block(used for fingernails),Prima flower and Glimmer Mist to change the color of the flower(it was originally off white). First, the duo-sided paper was put through the Big Shot with the die to cut the basic shape. Next the paper was put through the Sizzix embossing tool by placing the precut paper inside the folder, and then sanded to reveal the reverse paper. A paper punch cut out the small circle out of a coordinating paper scrap and rub-on was applied to it before gluing the circle to the center of the embossed image. The ribbon was glued on before the panel was added to the card. The dyed flower had a half pearl glued in the center along with adhesive brad heads to give some bling to the crown area. Do check out your local shops for any make and take demos they may be having soon to try something new.

  1. What a fun and beautiful project! I especially love the dry embossing, and the flower you've changed with Glimmer Mist! Lovely job, and how awesome that it was a make and take! :)
